Being a No-Kill shelter, we have many pets waiting to come in. We therefore request that you be able to come within 1 week after your application is approved (during open hours of Noon to 3 PM on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat) to adopt the pet. What specific date are you able to pick up your pet? =

Tell us anything else you can think of about the living situation, or anything you do / would do to "spoil" your pet. Feel free to attach photos to the email if you'd like too! =

List additional information you'd like us to know about you, your family, or your lifestyle that would increase your chances of being chosen for the desired pet. Also, use this space to explain anything we might have a concern about, or if you had a tragic situation previously, (ex: a pet hit by a car, poisoned, etc.) tell us how you would prevent it from happening again. =

We will email you (usually in the evening) to setup a time to meet and adopt the pet. Can you check your email at night? Let us know how to contact you otherwise. =

Space in our Shelter is limited and if we find a perfect home for that particular pet, we may cut off any further applications that have been started. By submitting your application, you are in no way guaranteed a pet. CCHS takes great pride in not just finding 'a home', but a great home for each of our special pets. Very rarely do we deny an applicant, so if you miss out on a pet, please do not think of yourself as being denied. With the pet's best interest in mind, as well as yours, we match people and pets together for long-term relationships. Do you understand that CCHS has the right to deny any application, for any reason, at any time. =
